Not every day begins as one would hope, but as that old saying goes, every cloud has a silver lining — an apt expression indeed given the way Ryan’s day began on 21st October.
So, it wasn’t a great start to the day. Instead of blue skies and sunny weather, which is what all property agents wish for on auction day, especially in an area like Raby Bay where glorious weather accentuates the appeal of beachfront properties. The skies opened up and poured down and Ryan dropped hair product all over his lucky suit. But poor weather and a shabby-looking suit weren’t the only obstacles standing in his way that day.
Upon arriving at 6 Sentinel Court Raby Bay, a stunning lowset property set on a 748m2 block on the in-demand area’s most prestigious street, the first paddle he pulled out was #13. An omen? Perhaps, given that he then received a call from a qualified bidder, one he had high hopes for, who called to advise Ryan that he was pulling out. Not the best start to the day.
In retrospect, when things seem to go from bad to worse we often tend to overlook the positive and focus on the negative. And Ryan wasn’t feeling as positive as he should, given that he was overseeing the auction of a multi-million dollar home that day. But as with the weather, which eventually improved, the auction was a success and the property was sold under the hammer for $2.7 million — the highest selling property in Brisbane that week.
While the obstacles standing in the way of success may seem overwhelming, it’s important not to forget that we all have people in our corner, fighting the good fight alongside us and helping us to persevere and overcome the challenges that life throws our way. On that wet, rainy October day, Ryan had the First National Cleveland team in his corner who did an amazing job assisting the six registered bidders and the 67 people who came to spectate.
The end result? Thrilled sellers, excited buyers and one very happy real estate agent. A big thanks from Ryan McCann to the entire team at First National Cleveland. The day wouldn’t have been the overwhelming success it was if it wasn’t for for your assistance, support and friendship.
