The bayside area is where First National Real Estate’s Ryan McCann does most of his business. It’s also where he calls home and chooses to spend his down time.
Ryan McCann has a lot of love for the tranquil waterfront community of Cleveland – which is just as well considering his role as Co-Director of the fastest-growing real estate agency in Redlands.
Led by Ryan McCann and Cherelle Taylor, the team at First National Real Estate Cleveland have properties for sale in Cleveland and the surrounding suburbs of:
- Raby Bay
- Alexandra Hills
- Redland Bay
- Victoria Point
- Wellington Point
- Mount Cotton
A long-time resident who grew up locally, Ryan McCann has great insider knowledge of the Moreton Bay area and its real estate. From Raby Bay to rural Mount Cotton, Ryan knows what many of the district’s most notable properties look like inside and out. Odds are that Ryan McCann has sold not just one but multiple properties on any street you can name.
Why buy by the Bay?
When asked why he loves selling real estate on this side of town and what it’s like to live there, Ryan McCann says:
‘Redland city comprises about a dozen suburbs. Lately, we’ve had a lot of buyers coming out from Camp Hill and Carindale, which are suburbs much closer to Brisbane city, but they don’t have the lifestyle we have out here. In Cleveland, you get more for your money and great for bringing up kids.’
‘We’ve got some fantastic state schools and private schools out this way. Families have the opportunity to have a decent-sized yard, and the water is either at their doorstep or a couple of streets away. That’s a pretty good magnet for them.’
‘As for the types of property available, we’ve got such a good scope of real estate here – the full spectrum. You’ve got waterfront property, beachfront property, entry level homes at about $400,000, prestige acreages that are semi-rural, and we’ve also got some high-end units. The market ranges from $220,000 units to multi-million dollar estates. It’s a real estate agent’s dream.’
Cleveland’s proximity to the CBD and coasts
With its coastal location, leafy parks, well-rated schools and historical attractions, Cleveland has a lot to offer the owner-occupier or investor.
Take it from one who knows: real estate agent Ryan McCann attended school at Ormiston College in Redlands for eight years and has lived in the area ever since (apart from a brief stint in Northern Ireland). Why live anywhere else when you’ve got all this on your doorstep? Redlands provides a fantastic lifestyle for lovers of:
- Sirromet Winery for wine tastings, fine dining, concerts and picnics (world-class acts including Chris Isaak and James Taylor have performed there recently)
- Island getaways (Stradbroke, Coochiemudlo, Moreton and Macleay Islands are easily accessible)
There’s a large canal estate at Raby Bay & Aquatic Paradise and lots of parkland and even a few man-made beaches on the bay itself. Around the suburb you can find a variety of old/character and modern houses. Travel to Brisbane CBD: Train, Cleveland station to Central Station (about 55 min) Shopping facilities: Supermarkets and other local shops in Cleveland centre Major shopping centres at Capalaba (about 6km).
From the coastal village of Wellington Point – known for its great fishing, boating and watersports – to Victoria Point, where seaside parks and esplanades draw family and friends to picnic, cycle and swim, the Redlands offers a charming experience. In the hinterland find the award-winning Sirromet Winery and experience natural bushland at IndigiScapes. Over on North Stradbroke Island try four-wheel driving, snorkelling and diving, or kick back and watch marine life float by.
